Filling Out Application

Fill out an application.  Please do so only if you meet the requirements.  (If you are a transfer from another chapter, please contact Advisor Barb Tessier directly.  If you received an online invitation, you may use that code to apply online until the end of the semester, with no transcript, and pay by credit card.  Sorry, but if you've lost your code, we don't keep track of them.)

        - Online PDF Membership Application Form.

Attach to the application an official transcript of your IHCC work.  To get a free official transcript, go to the Registration Office (College Center, 2nd floor); mention it's for Phi Theta Kappa.

Attach your check (made out to "Phi Theta Kappa") or a credit card receipt for $60 to the application.  ($50 of this one-time fee goes to international and regional Phi Theta Kappa; the chapter only keeps $10.)  If you want to pay by credit card, go to the Business Office (College Center, 2nd floor), ask to pay for Phi Theta Kappa, and get a receipt.  You may, instead, make an initial $30 payment by check or cash with your application, then a 2nd $30 payment a month later (if you are not graduating before then); we will hold your application until we receive the 2nd $30.  If you have severe financial difficulties and can pay only part or none of the fee, please apply anyway--simply ask Advisor Barb Tessier for an IHCC "Have a Heart Fund" form.  Attach it with what you can pay or with no payment at all.  (No student will see the form.)

 Assume you are accepted if you haven't heard from us for 2 weeks.  After about 4-6 weeks, you should get a welcome email from Richard and an acceptance letter from International Headquarters.

         Please plan on attending the next orientation session--look in the campus wide "Student Success Day" schedule (or at the online schedule at http://www.inverhills.edu/studentsuccess/).   Please also attend the Induction Ceremony: it will be announced in the weekly newsletter several weeks in advance.  In addition, if you have just joined since the previous induction ceremony, someone from our chapter will let you know about it.  You may join before orientation and after induction, but if you do, we strongly encourage you to attend the next orientation and induction that you can.  If you have questions, contact us at the above numbers.  We look forward to your membership!
