Cigarette Butt Clean Up Project

Have you ever noticed how many cigarette butts laying on the ground as walking from class to class on Inver Hills campus? Take a moment and you will see what I am taking about. Cigarette butt is one of the most polluting element for the environment because it takes years to decade. As part of Phi Theta Kappa International Service Project - Operation Green, our chapter at Inver Hills Community College has decided to work on the cigarette butt clean up project to make the campus greener.

Our objective is to make people aware of cigarette butt litter its impact on the environment, especially on our campus. So, our project is going to include tabling, research, poster, petition, cigarette butt pick up day every two week...

If that sound interesting to you and if you want to be a part of making campus look better, you are totally welcome to join us. It's going be a lot of fun.
